The former 'Real Housewives of New York' star shared several sweet pictures centered around her mom. BernadetteHe says he passed away from lung cancer … before diving in and genuinely breaking down his mother's complicated feelings.
It's a pretty long analysis… but BF summarizes it well above — Bethenny initially had to leave an abusive home because her mom said she was dealing with demons when she admitted Bernadette.
Bethenny calls her mom funny, cultured and smart… before saying she's not comfortable being a mother and doesn't enjoy the responsibility much.
In fact, Bethenny says she started mending fences with her mother after her daughter BrianThe now 13-year-old is constantly being pushed to visit her grandmother … and admits she's grateful they've had time to work on their relationship.
Frankel ends on a positive note … telling his mother's family that despite what they've been through, they encourage others to reach out to their own friends and family.
Anyone who has followed Bethenny's life knows how she felt about her mother. She opened up about their relationship in a 2010 People cover story … “There was a lot of destruction there: drinking, eating disorders and violent fights.”
Bethenny seems to be putting it aside now that her mom is gone.
Bernadette is said to be 73 years old.
