The politicians who did this should be ashamed

It’s sad to see what the previous government has done to the tax payers of the Province again in regard to the financial situation that we find ourselves.

We cannot fault the newly elected members, because as we all know they have not been in power long enough to have done this to us. It is time for the elected representatives to be more accountable to us taxpayers.
One may suggest they were held accountable and as a result they are no longer running the affairs of the province, rightly so. We the taxpayers have rewarded them with a very rewarding pension for the bill that they have left us. Would any of these former politicians manage their own financial affairs the way they have done for the taxpayers? We all know the answer.
When we see the government trying to deal with the situation they find themselves into looking for cuts of 30 per cent. We all know who will take the blunt of government’s mismanagement. It is the workers of this province, not the elected Politicians who will suffer for the mistakes that the former government has put on the people of this province. As a result of this financial mess we will have to face the   consequences.
Will the people of western NL not get a new hospital that was promised? Why wasn’t it built when the government had the funding to do so? The people of western NL and Southern Labrador will again have to travel to St. John’s for Medical procedures.
Will the government stop the waste at Nalcor and hold top management responsible, and if need be get rid of them. Its time people who waste what belongs to the taxpayers be held accountable.
People blame Joey for the Churchill Falls deal and I think that will be classified as a joke compared to Muskrat Falls. For the sake of our taxpayers and our grandchildren I hope I am wrong about the deal. When we were a have province was it possible that the elected members at the time did not have the thought enough to save something for what we are facing? The workers again have to pay their bill, while the people who ran the affairs and created this financial crisis are rewarded.
You politicians who did this to us taxpayers should be ashamed of yourself, if you got any. Your bank accounts are not like that of the province I could bet. Many of the people who are getting into politics do not have the best interest of the province at heart.
