With The Guess Who, Cummings had a string of international hit singles like “American Woman,” “These Eyes,” and was the first Canadian group to reach No. 1 on the Billboard charts. Cummings left the band and started a successful solo career in 1975. He’s a multiple JUNO Award winner, and will be inducted into the Canadian Music Hall of Fame during this year’s JUNO awards March 28.

Burton joins country artists like Lee Brice, Rascal Flatts, Big Smo, Tebey and local performers Jason Benoit and Mallory Johnson on the bill for this year’s hoedown, happening at Eastbound Park in Avondale Aug. 19 and 20. At least three more acts are yet to be announced.
Tickets and camping passes for the event are on sale now at North Atlantic Orange Store locations and online at www.eastboundhoedown.com.
