Freezing rain and drizzle coming for Northern Peninsula

A prolonged period of freezing rain is expected to begin Thursday evening, and last through the night, for areas of the Northern Peninsula.

The weather is expected to taper to freezing drizzle Friday, according to an Environment Canada weather statement.
The advisory is for Port Saunders and the Straits Northern Peninsula East.
For some areas, freezing drizzle could last most of the day Friday as temperatures may be slow to rise above freezing.
