The pallets were piled high and burning bright as three generations of Pilgrims gathered to mark Bonfire Night on Nov. 5. Also known as Guy Fawkes Night, bonfires were first lite in 1605 to celebrate the safety of King James I after a gunpowder plot, in which Guy Fawkes was captured, was foiled.
