The Kids Eat Smart fundraiser, sponsored by the Grenfell Co-Op in St. Anthony, took in $317.65.

Through May and June, the Co-Op sold paper apples for one dollar. They sold 165 in total. On June 26, each paper apple was included in a draw for a $50 gift card from the Co-Op. The winner was Lily Brown of Cook’s Harbour.
Along with the paper apples, money was also raised through a barbecue held at the Co-Op prior to the draw.
The total raised will be matched by the Kids Eat Smart Foundation.
These funds will go towards the Kids Eat Smart breakfast program at White Hills Academy, which is held five days per week throughout the entire school year.
Kids Eat Smart club coordinator Denise Carter for White Hills Academy wished to thank the Grenfell Co-Op for their continued support of this initiative.
