Roddickton-Bide Arm celebrates Canada 150

July 1, 2017 marked Canada's 150th anniversary of confederation. 

The Town of Roddickton-Bide Arm celebrated the event with a flag raising, parade, ceremony, food, games for the kids and live entertainment.

It was a beautiful day with a record number of people dressed in Canada Day attire, creating a sea of red and white.

Lots of delicious barbecue was served during the festivities.

Earl Pilgrim, Roddickton-Bide Arm's ambassador, spoke at the ceremony about the history of the community. Pilgrim was named ambassador for his longstanding dedication and leadership in the community.

Laughter and chatter of people enjoying the occasion could be heard all around the block.

The town thanks everyone involved in the event who helped make the day a great success.
