Library discussions in Rocky Harbour Wednesday

The roundtable discussions to review the public library system continue tomorrow with the Northern Peninsula’s sole session.

From 6:30 to 8:30 Wednesday, Oct. 26, the public has the opportunity to take part in a consultation session at Gros Morne Academy in Rocky Harbour.

This meeting comes on the heels of others that have not had an ideal outcome, like in St. John’s where half the participants walked out and at least one person was denied access to the first meeting.

The libraries in the Northern Pen coverage area that were announced for closure include Cow Head, Woody Point, Daniel’s Harbour and Norris Point.

Other consultations include Stephenville on Thursday, Oct. 27 at the Days Inn, Labrador City on Wednesday, Nov. 2 at the Labrador City Public Library and an additional session has been added for St. John’s at the Comfort Inn Airport for Tuesday, Nov. 8.
