CLARENVILLE, N.L. — Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD), along with the local RCMP and Hickman Nissan, were rewarding responsible drivers in Clarenville Wednesday afternoon.
The group handed out Tim Horton’s gift cards to drivers at a checkpoint on Memorial Drive, while creating awareness for safe, sober driving.
Hickman Nissan also made a donation to MADD in recognition of the event.
The MADD Trinity Bay Chapter’s mission is to stop impaired driving and to support its victims.
MADD meets at the Clarenville Sobeys Community Room (at the back of the store) on the third Monday of each month at 7 p.m. New members are always welcome.
