Canadian Light posted a pair of victories last week extending their winning streak to nine games while wrapping up first place in action from the St. Anthony & Area Men's Slo Pitch League.
Canadian Light started out the week with a 27-24 win over the HCC Huskies in a slugfest. Mark Kendall led the Canadian Light squad going six-for-six at the plate while hitting two grand slams. Ryan Pittman and Ralph Smith also chipped in with five hits apiece in the victory.
Adam Pynn led the Huskies with five hits including two three-run shots while Ryan Hancock also chipped in with four hits including a homer in the loss.
In their second game of the week, Canadian Light scored four runs in the seventh to come from behind and defeat Maurice's Service Center 17-15. Ryan Pittman and Ralph Smith led the Canadian Light squad with four hits each while scoring three runs each in the victory.
Brandon Genge replied for Maurice's Service Center with three hits including a homer in the loss.
In other action, Maurice's Service Center defeated Northern Home Care 16-11. Maurice's Service Center posted 10 runs in the first two innings and held on for the victory. Scott Coish held the hot bat for Maurice's Service Center banging out four hits in the victory.
Glen Roberts and Shawn Green replied for Northern Home Care with five hits each in the loss.
In their other game of the week, Maurice's Service Center scored four runs in the eighth inning to edge out Griquet 14-13. Rob Parrill held the hot bat for Maurice's Service Center banging out four hits while scoring three runs in the victory.
Greg Dean and Gary Hillier replied for Griquet with four hits each in the loss.
In other action, Northern Home Care defeated Griquet 12-1. Glen Roberts led the Northern Home Care squad with four hits including a three-run shot. Shawn Green and Ivan Roberts also chipped in with three hits each in the victory.
Jason Simms went two-for-three for Griquet in the loss.
In their other game of the week, Griquet defeated the HCC Huskies 18-13. Alwin Blake and Greg Dean held the hot bats for Griquet banging out five hits each in the victory.
DJ Elliot replied for the Huskies with four hits while scoring three runs in the loss.
