Forteau RCMP

This summer, the Forteau RCMP Detachment is teaming up with the various local businesses to encourage youths in the L'Anse au Clair and Red Bay areas to wear their bicycle helmets while on their bikes.

To help make the campaign fun and rewarding, the following is a list of the local businesses that have provided police with gift certificates for wearing helmets:

- Earle's Grocery - L'Anse au Loup, NL

- Greco - Northern Light Inn, L'Anse au Clair, NL

- Forteau Sales & Services Ltd - Forteau, NL

- DOT's Bakery - L'Anse au Loup, NL

- P & M Variety - L'Anse au Clair, NL

- Lobel Management Ltd - Forteau, NL

- RSK Grocery - L'Anse au Clair, NL

- Food Chopper - Sea View Restaurant - Forteau, NL

Police will be on patrol throughout the summer and hope to notice youths with their helmets on and properly attached.

Police will provide them with a PRT - Positive Re-Enforcement Ticket from one of these businesses. Donations include tasty treats such as flurries from local restaurants, movie rentals, ice cream, slushies etc.
