It is with great sadness the family of the late Thomas O'Dell announce his passing on Jan. 30, 2010 at the Health Sciences Centre, St John's at the age of 72 years. Leaving to mourn with loving memories wife Bella; children, Juanita (Tim), Joe (Marilyn), Jason (Leonia), Justin (Amanda), and Jessica (Michael); 13 grandchildren; father Dave Fowler, brothers Joe, George, and Walter; sisters Sophie, Bertha, Elizabeth, and Janet, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. He was predeceased by son Dean, mother Stella, and sister Elsie. Visitors were received at the Anglican Church in Capstan Island on Tuesday, and in Our Lady Of Labrador Church in West St. Modest on Wednesday from where the funeral services took place Thursday, Feb. 4, at 2 p.m. with Fr. Hann officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in L'Anse au Diable. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, in L'Anse au Loup.

It is with great sadness the family of the late Vachon Tatchell announce his passing on Jan. 26, 2010 at St. Michael's Hospital in Toronto, Ontario at the age of 21 years. Leaving to mourn parents Scott and Wanda Lavers, and Ann Tatchell; brothers Jordan and Timothy; sisters Adrienne, Jordanna, Jessica and Kimberly; grandparents Melvin and Dolly Lavers, Alfred Tatchell, and a circle of other relatives and friends. He was predeceased by his sister Jennifer, and grandmothers Olive Gaulton and Lorraine Maynard. The family received friends at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church in Port Saunders from where the funeral service took place on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Fr. Lee Lainey officiating. Interment followed at the Interfaith Cemetery in Sandy Cove. As expressions of sympathy, donations can be made to a charity of one's choice. You may visit our website at www.fillatre.ca.

Passed away at the John M. Gray Centre on Jan. 30, 2010, William Bailey. William leaves to mourn his daughters Sharon and Yvonne (Kirby); son Trevor (Joanne) and grandchildren Stefan (Andrea), Stephanie, and Jessica, and his sister Olive Diamond. He is predeceased by his wife Rosmond Woodward and parents Albert and Sarah Bailey. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Kerry M. Fillatre Funeral Home, St. Anthony and Roddickton, Lee Nippard, funeral director.

Leaving to mourn with loving memories husband Edward; children Harold (Goldie), Jessie (Clarus), Beatrice (Terry), Wade (Blanche), Rhoda (Will), Debbie (Dave), and Trudy (Jerome); grandchildren Todd, Kirby, Warren, Roberta, Darryl, Wilson, Karen, Michelle, Leslie, Natasha, Jonathon and Jayden, Wendy and Elizabeth; great-grandchildren Jenny, David, Taggart, Tory, Cameron, Kathlyn, Derrick, Jenna, Jayden, Colin, Brooklyn and Nicholas; siblings Julie, Tom, Ron, Grace, Edmund, Lizzie and John, as well as a large circle of other family and friends. She was predeceased by parents Arthur and Gertrude Ryan, daughter Judy Acreman, grandson Leslie, brothers Walter and Arthur Ryan, sisters Susan, Greta and Marion. Visitors were received at the Gospel Hall in Red Bay on Tuesday and Wednesday from where the funeral services took place Thursday, Feb. 4 at 11 a.m. with Mr. David Swan officiating. Interment followed at the church cemetery in Red Bay. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre's Funeral Home, L'Anse au Loup.
