Provincial Aerospace Limited (PAL) has received a $323,000 shot in the arm from the federal government.
The Newfoundland and Labrador based company will use the money, granted by the Atlantic Canada Opportunities Agency (ACOA) to expand its surveillance and defence operations.
"This project will enhance the international profile and competitiveness of PAL in the global aerospace and defence industry," said Brian Chafe, executive vice president of PAL. "With this support from ACOA, we can now focus primarily on developing new markets in the United States, the Middle East and Latin America."
Over the past 30 years, PAL has provided a range of airborne surveillance and special mission aircraft to military and enforcement agencies in companies including: United States, Ireland, Barbados, Trinidad and Tobago, Mexico, Venezuela, Columbia, Peru and the Netherlands.
