Ninety-eight high school students from almost every high school from Deer Lake to Labrador converged on Gunner’s Cove for the regional All-Grade Cross Country run.

Ten members of the 1st Straits Brownie Pack were honoured in a ‘Flying Up’ ceremony at Flowers Cove recently. One thing about Newfoundland...when there’s work to be done, everyone lends a hand. Calvin and Eliza Genge had an extension built onto their Anchor Point home recently and when it was discovered that the old shingles required changing to match the new, all seven carpenters clambered to the roof to make short work of it.
