Madeline Mae Acreman

Mary’s Harbour

Passed peacefully away at the Health Sciences Complex after a courageous battle with cancer surrounded by her family and friends on Thursday, July 29, 2010 Madeline Mae Acreman, at the age of 79 years. Leaving to mourn her sons David (Lydia) of Baie Verte and Donald (Vina) of St. Anthony; daughters Marion Green (Freeman) of Clarenville and Brenda Snook (Levi) of Forteau; nine grandchildren Karen Gandy (Steve) of Panama City, Florida, Jarvis Acreman (Marlise) of Mayer Thorpe, Alberta, Trevor Green (Nicole) of Richmond, British Columbia, Darrell Acreman of Woodstock, Ontario, Jamie Snook (Holly) of  Goose Bay, Vanessa Lane of Kentville, Nova Scotia, Amanda Green of Calgary, Alberta, Anil Snook (Kelly) of Bedford, Nova Scotia, and Christopher Green (Krista) of St. John’s; 11 great-grandchildren Dillon and Tristan Gandy, Connor and Callie Acreman, Isobella Green, Alicia, Hannah and Seth Acreman, Jonah and Jayden Snook and Joshua Lane; sister Vera Barbour; brother Claude Hewlett; sisters-in-law Celeste Cooper, Clarice Smith and Mary Acreman; brother-in-law Gordon Acreman; also a very large circle of family and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Hughlett Acreman, 1998; parents Norman and Emma Hewlett; and two brothers Robert Hewlett and Tony Cooper. Visitation and funeral service took place at St. Mary’s Anglican Church in Mary’s Harbour. Interment followed at St. Mary’s Anglican Cemetery. MARY JANE JENKINS

Englee, NL

June 13, 1925 - July 24, 2010

It is with great sadness that the family of the late Mary Jane Jenkins announce her passing on Saturday, July 24, 2010 at the John M. Gray Centre in St. Anthony at the age of 85 years. She leaves to mourn with fond and loving memories her children James (Joy) Jenkins, Little Rapids, Alfred (Georgina) Jenkins, Englee, Neata (Don) Richards, Kitchener, Ontario, Diana (Raymond) Wilcox, Brampton, Ontario, Nicholas (Linda) Jenkins, Englee, Melissa (Dale) Richards, St. Carols, Cecilia (Charlie) Mugford, St. Anthony and Dennis (Lois) Jenkins, Brampton, Ontario; 25 grandchildren; 35 great-grandchildren; as well as a large circle of other relatives and friends. She was predeceased by her husband Pleaman Jenkins; parents Herbert and Delphina Hancock; children Mildred and Jeanie Jenkins. Visitation took place at the Salvation Army Church in Englee on Sunday and Monday from where the funeral service took place on Tuesday, July 27 at 2 p.m. with Majors Henry and Beatrice Bingle officiating. Interment followed at the Salvation Army Cemetery, Roddickton. As expressions of sympathy, flowers were graciously accepted. Funeral arrangements were entrusted to Fillatre’s Funeral Home, Port au Choix. The family guest book may be signed or a memorial donation may be made through our website www.fillatre.ca.
